Health & Wellness at the CBE
At the CBE, we believe in a whole school approach to health and wellness. We call this our Comprehensive School Health (CSH) approach. CSH is about healthy eating, active living, supportive social environments and positive mental health. As a system, we focus on the following four areas: healthy eating; healthy relationships; physical activity; and positive mental health. Each school creates its own approach and goals for health and wellness.
Visit the CBE website to learn more about health and wellness in schools.
The Good Food Box
Lester B Pearson High School is continuing being the North East Calgary distribution point (Hub) for the Calgary Good Food Box.
The Good Food Box is a program under the Community Kitchen Program of Calgary whereby you can purchase fresh fruits and vegetables at amazing costs. The more people that join in the program the greater our buying power becomes. The Good Food Box offers ALL Calgarians access to nutritious food to ensure no one goes hungry. The Fruit and Vegetable boxes are put together and delivered to your closest location (Hub) once a month.
As the Pearson Hub continues to grow, we invite the community, Our students and families to participate and join us using program. Each month, families can contact the school and make a new order for that month. If you are interested and would like to order a box or would like more information please email Hsdeschner@cbe.ab.ca
