Overflow Designation for Kindergarten to Grade 9 Students Residing in Skyview Ranch
Due to continued and unanticipated enrolment growth at Prairie Sky School, the school is over capacity. We cannot accommodate any new registrations from students residing in the Skyview Ranch community.
This means that changes must be put in place to ensure the safety of all students and staff and to meet all regulatory requirements.
All registrations for Prairie Sky School for the 2023-24 school year and beyond will be directed to overflow schools and added to a call-back list.

Update to Overflow Designation for Kindergarten to Grade 6 Students Residing in Skyview Ranch
Annie Foote School has reached its capacity and will be unable to accommodate any additional overflowed students from Prairie Sky School. Monterey Park School will now serve as a second overflow school to accommodate the continued student enrolment growth in the Skyview Ranch community for the 2023-24 school year and beyond.
Effective immediately, new registrations for Prairie Sky School that cannot be accommodated at Prairie Sky School or Annie Foote School, including new registrations in SchoolEngage, will be overflowed to Monterey Park School. Please see the notice for more information.
Notice Regarding Boundary Changes for Annie Foote and Guy Weadick Schools
To balance enrolment at the schools in the Temple community, the Calgary Board of Education (CBE) wishes to inform you of the creation of new designation boundaries for Annie Foote School and Guy Weadick School. Effective Sept. 2023, there will be a new regular program designation boundary for students residing in the Temple community. All new students will be designated to the following schools based on where they live.

Learning to Fit Each Student's Needs and Interests
Alternative programs provide a distinct educational experience by focusing on specific subjects or languages and engaging students with advanced learning methods or in unique classroom environments. These programs are designed to personalize education to meet students' learning needs and goals. Additionally, some alternative programs may be more flexible regarding schedule or structure, giving students greater control over their learning. Parental involvement is highly encouraged through activities such as parent-teacher conferences and school events.

We are thrilled to extend a warm welcome to non-Canadian students who are eager to embark on an enriching educational journey with us. Our schools are welcoming, caring, respectful and safe environments where students will learn, make new friends, and discover their talents and interests. Students who are not Canadian citizens must register through CBE Welcome Centre, even if they have attended school elsewhere in Canada.

Gather Your Documents
You will need to submit copies of the following documents to complete the registration process:

- Guardian ID
Start Online Process
Registration is done through our online registration system (SchoolEngage).
Start RegistrationWait for Confirmation
Your student will be accepted or placed on a waiting list at one of your school choices. We’ll let you know via email. Ensure all your documents are submitted to be automatically enrolled at your school of placement.
Transferring Between CBE Schools
At the CBE, when you are transitioning from elementary to middle school, or from middle school to high school, you will be automatically registered at your designated school according to your home address. To find out what your designated school is, use our Find a School tool. If you are interested in attending a school other than your designated school, visit CBE'sTransfers page for transfer information. Please note that some schools are quite full and not able to accept all transfer requests.
