Dear Annie Foote Families,

It’s beginning to look a lot like Winter in our building!  Students in a variety of grades have been creating winter art.  Please enjoy Winter art below!

Mayor’s Food Drive

Our annual food drive begins this week and runs through the month of December.  In the past our Annie Foote community has been very generous in bringing donations.  Items most needed include:  pasta, canned pasta sauce,  canned tomatoes, rice, diapers, formula (glass jars cannot be accepted). Food can be placed on the table in the front foyer.

Winter Resources

Our student social workers have compiled a list of winter resources and low cost winter activities.  Please hope you can take advantage of some of these opportunities!

Breakfast Club

Our breakfast club is going strong!  As a reminder, students living in TEMPLE must be at the school for breakfast between 8:45 and 8:50.  We cannot accommodate students coming into the line up when the 8:55 bell rings as this is the only opportunity our bus students have for a ‘grab and go’ breakfast.  Students who have already had breakfast at home should not be attending breakfast club.

Leadership – Spirit week

Ms. Gwen and Ms. Scholz met with the student Leadership club this week.  We are going to participate in a Spirit Week the last week before Winter break.  To prepare, we wanted to share the themed days with you.

  • Monday, Dec. 16 – Students dress like teachers, teachers dress like students!
  • Tuesday, Dec. 17 – Sports day.  Wear a jersey, shirt or other item that shows a sport
  • Wednesday, Dec. 18 – Twin day.  Choose a friend and dress alike in some way!
  • Thursday, Dec. 19 – Wear red or green or a Christmas sweater
  • Friday, Dec. 20 – Pajama Day!

Looking Ahead

  • Wednesday, December 18 - K M/W and Grades 1-3 Healthy Hunger
  • Thursday, December 19 - K T/Th and Grades 4-6 Healthy Hunger
