Weekly Updates
This week grade four finished with our math and social studies projects where we created new prairie towns, built houses, schools, places to worship, factories, stores and more. Then after our designs were done, area and perimeter were calculated, so we could construct models of them in Minecraft. Working collaboratively in teams of about 7-8 students, we now have a total of 6 new communities.
A huge shout-out to Mr. Murray for organizing all of the swimming for our Grades 1-3 students. Thank you so much to our Parent Council for funding lessons to give students the opportunity to learn how to swim and build confidence in the water.
Moosehide Campaign
On Thursday we participated in the Moosehide Campaign. Thanks to Ms. Grover’s class for providing these beautiful pictures.
Street Safety
We are thankful to have a wonderful group of Grade 6 patrollers. We have noticed that many parents, along with their children, are crossing in the middle of the street. There are also parents walking their children between busses. PLEASE SET A SAFE AND POSITIVE EXAMPLE FOR OUR STUDENTS BY USING THE CROSSWALK.
Breakfast Club
Our club is running and active! Please note that the club begins at 8:45 AM. There is no supervision for children before that time. Students coming for breakfast must arrive between 8:45 AM and 8:50 AM.
Are You Moving?
If you know that your family is moving outside of the Annie Foote School area and will not be attending our school next year, please let the office know as soon as possible. This is important information as we plan moving forward.
Spring into Fun!
Our spring music concert is taking place on Thursday, May 30 at 5:30 PM. This one-hour concert will feature music that our K-6 students have been preparing in their music classes. Due to the capacity of the gym, we ask that only parents and siblings attend the evening concert. There will be an afternoon dress rehearsal for additional family members or parents who cannot attend the evening concert. The time will be announced soon. Please see our poster!
