AFS Weekly Message Nov. 6-17 | Halloween, Hindu Heritage Month, Remembrance Day, Diwali

Last week we had a wonderful Hallowe’en celebration at school.  It was a delight to see so many students dressed up and they loved seeing the ‘staff of minions’!   Students participated in some Hallowe’en learning activities.

November is Hindu Heritage Month

Here are some activities at the Calgary Public Library.

As we all know, November is a Hindu Heritage Month as declared federally and the CBE calendar also marks it on their events calendar. The Hindu Community of Calgary is excited to invite the whole CBE community with all its families to a grand celebration at the Central Public Library on 19th November 2023 from 12.00 to 4.00pm. The 19th of November marks the celebratory ceremonial event geared to all families as an educational as well as fun filled event.

We would like to invite you all with your CBE families to this year’s Hindu Heritage month's event, graced by remote attendance of Honorable MP Shri Chandra Arya & Canadian All time favorite Indic Author Shri Jeffrey Armstrong.
