AFS Weekly Message Oct. 9-13 | Thanksgiving, Memory Jars, Halloween, School Council, Webinar
Our students have been preparing for the long weekend making various Thanksgiving wishes. At Annie Foote we are thankful for your children who bring their individual talents to school each day. I am grateful for our staff who work enthusiastically with your children and our school council who work diligently to provide feedback and resources to enhance our students’ learning. Take a look at some of these turkeys!
Students in Kindergarten learned about being Thankful this week. After reading the book "Our Table" by Peter H. Reynolds, they discovered that they are very thankful for the time they get to spend with their families. They brainstormed questions they would love to ask their families to help create memories.
Hallowe’en
Please see the attached notice under Resources about Hallowe’en activities.
Important School Council Message
“Our School Council Annual General Meeting will take place on October 19, 2023. Please come out to learn more about the council and how we provide a positive impact to students’ learning. Positions on the council include Chair, Vice-Chair, Treasurer, Secretary, Volunteer Coordinator, and Casino Coordinator. Filling these positions is critical to being able to continue the school council and provide the students with new technology, field trips, swimming, bussing for these events and so much more. Without participants on school council these events wouldn’t be possible or the cost would be passed on to the families. We look forward to seeing you on October 19.
The Week Ahead
Monday, October 9 – No school. Happy Thanksgiving
 With gratitude,
 Heather
